I am back to my monthly passion palette, dipping my toe back into fashion, beauty, design and sharing what is inspiring me.  Currently I have no affiliation to any brand or product, these are simply products or experiences I am enjoying, or things on my wish list!

I wake up, I hear something. I am not quite sure what woke me up. I had finally fallen into a very deep sleep, tired from the emotions of the day, as the children navigate their first few days in their new school. Then I realize the bed, the cupboards, the whole house is shaking violently.

Around 6am the sun rises above the low mountains of Turkey straight across the water, an electrifying ball of red and orange. The sky is a concentration of neon like pink over watery blues. To the left the mountains are high and majestic, edged in purple in the morning haze.

I sit in the early morning sun, on the rooftop of the hotel.  We arrived the evening before, discombobulated with a tattered heart. The rooms felt stuffy and crammed, unlike the modern spacious hotel rooms in Asia. 

While modern fashion seems more accessible, economic buying power still determines access to higher-end fashion, raising questions about how democratic fashion truly is today.

This month the passion palette focuses on shoes and some of my favourite brands, from barefoot European, to luxury designers.

We can learn to harness the power of developing a true, authentic, personal style to support our lives, and in that process a kind of magic happens, like a sprinkling of fairy dust.

Every month I will be sharing my top 5 favourites things with you. Including but not limited to fashion, my top picks in beauty, for my family & kids and general culture and lifestyle things I am exploring or loving right now.

The stripe has a long, mischievous and complicated history in our wardrobes. We explore the evolution of the stripe and how it’s evolved to represent different meanings, societal classes and brands over the last 200 years.
