About me

I have had a lifelong passion for visual arts and fashion. My degree was in theatre design and I grew up from a young age visiting the theatre, opera and art galleries.

Throughout the late 90s and early 000s I was transfixed by theatrical fashion designers like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood and spent hours trawling the backstreet art galleries of inner city London, whilst dancing the weekends away at iconic clubs like Turnmills, Fabric, The Fridge, The Cross, The Blue Note and many more, which sadly don’t exist anymore. It was a time London was safe and creatively exploding, we all thought we were invincible, that feeling of the unlimited nectar of youth and optimism.

My writing and styling work is coloured by all my lived experiences, not limited to, but significant influences are, growing up with a mixed cultural background, spending 16 years in Asia, being a mother to 3 children, my personal styling business working exclusively with women, a 90s rave kid, my years long practice & study of yoga, holistic health and aromatherapy, always challenging conventional thought paths, especially more so in recent times.

I explore the connection between fashion & style and their relationship to politics, economics, culture, wellness and spirituality.

Presently I am on a fashion break, as our family of 5 navigate our third international move together. I am writing and exploring the idea of transition, cultural identity and anything else that I feel relevant.

'Clothing is such an intimate part of our lives and gives us the power to express aspects of who we are, gives us courage and amour when needed and can be so fun and light! '
